STEP 1: System and Operating Requirements

Inner Sphere Wars is supported for the following Operating Systems:

Ensure that you have the current service pack installed and and any critical updates installed. Also you will need to download and install both the VB6 Run Time and the .Net Support Software.

Update Visual Basic 6.0 Run-Time
.NET FRAMEWORK 2.0

Note: If you have Netbattletech Hardcore (NBT) installed, skip this step.

 

STEP 1: Install Mechwarrior Mercenaries. Launch the game, agree to the license and adjust graphics card settings.     STEP 2: Install Point Release 1 (PR1) for Mechwarrior Mercenaries. Launch the game, agree to the license, create a Pilot Name. MW4:MERC PR1 PATCH STEP 3: Copy the NetMechIV Updater into the Mechwarrior Mercenaries folder. Launch the NM4updater and update it to the latest patches. NET MECH IV

STEP 1: Download and extract the NetBattletech Hardcore Updater into your Mechwarrior Mercenatires folder. Launch the NBT updater.   NET BATTLETECH HARDCORE If you have troubles installing NBT, You may download each update from 1.4.0 and attempt to install manually. This is not recommended.

TROUBLESHOOTING If ISW fails to Launch properly or returns a runtime error when you are trying to run it, You should try to launch ISW a few times to make sure you can duplicate the Error. Once you are sure this error will not go away then it is important to take a screenshot of this error and send that to comstar@iswars.com The absolute wrong thing to do is get files from other players. This action will cause File Donor's and Recipients to be locked out by the ISW Security System. While you are waiting for a response from Comstar you can download the ISW Support file from the Website. Extract the Files and run the Setup.exe program. Follow the prompts, keeping any files that are more up to date. RESTART ISW. If this fixes the problem please send an email to Comstar@iswars.com and let him know. If this does not solve the problem, you can attempt to use the data access components to troubleshoot. Also if your problem is fixed, please post this in the Forums in the Bug Reports area, with what the error was, and that the ISW-DEP.zip install fixed it.

STEP 1: Download Setup.exe from the Inner Sphere Wars website ISWARS DOWNLOAD STEP 2: Double click on Setup.exe STEP 3: Follow the Screen Prompts. Ensure you check the EULA.  Where given the option to keep a newer file, keep it. STEP 4: After installation, ISWars will auto launch. STEP 5: - ISW will check to see if it is out of date. If it is, then ISW Will close and the Updater will be launched. - After the Updater has finished updating ISW, it will launch ISW. - ISW Will then start performing an internal file check and download necessary files, to support Gameplay. - The initial Run of ISW can take a LONG TIME, even on DSL Broadband connected systems...Be patient during this process. STEP 6: Click on Register. Once you have done this, you will follow the prompts, read the EULA, agree to the EULA, setup your account and log into ISW.
